Ladies Group
“God is not ashamed to be called their God.” This profound statement is found in Hebrews 11, the faith chapter of the Bible. Faith is not only a masculine virtue; listed among the faithful are Sarah, Rahab, and the women who received their dead raised to life again. The Ladies Group at Highland Church of Christ know that faith is a necessary virtue for Christians and endeavor to strengthen their faith by always adding the word of God and prayer in all functions to ensure that God’s will is done.
MCYC Retreat
The retreat is a time for ladies to commune with nature in the wooded area at the Michigan Christian Youth Camp. For a minimal cost, twice a year (spring and fall), the ladies go for a weekend to really get to know one another. They pray for each other, sing songs of praise, study the bible, share experiences, go on nature walks, and leave drawing closer to their sister’s in Christ.
For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons... (Ruth 4:15)
Prayer Vigil
The ladies take the time to devote an event totally to prayer because prayer is a crucial part of the Christian life. Each request for prayer is presented to God along with prayers for the growth of the church, leaders, sick, needy, etc.
The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. (Matt 15:25)

Ladies Day Programs
In the spring and fall the ladies of Highland sponsor programs that include speakers that convey topics for Christian women. Ladies from other congregations throughout the area are invited as well as friends and family. These days are the most rewarding because a lot of hard work and care is sewn into the fabric of the program to make certain that each lady feels welcome at Highland and most important as part of the church.
...those women who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord. (Romans 16:12)
Other ladies fellowship activities include an annual Dinner Date for ladies to enjoy each others company; shopping excursions to Great Lakes Crossing/Frankenmuth; and end the year a with luncheon. There are also various showers for new mothers and brides. All ladies are welcome to join!
